Amy Lee Zdroik

Amy Lee Zdroik, age 48, of Rhinelander, passed away on Monday, December 30th, 2024, at home surrounded by love. She was born on August 25th, 1976, in Rhinelander, the daughter of Howard and Tonkom Zdroik. She married Michael Trefz on August 6th, 2011.

Amy graduated Magna Cum Laude from UW-Whitewater, in 2006 with a BBA in Accounting. After working for international and regional public accounting firms, she discovered that she preferred helping small, family-owned businesses, and rock bands.

Prior to her accounting career, Amy worked as a CNA at group homes and at Friendly Village, working primarily with special needs individuals.

She loved live music and graduated from Madison Media Institute in 2003 with an AA in music production. One of her favorite activities was watching live bands, especially the Black Crowes.

She graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1994.

Amy was Town Clerk for the Town of Stella, WI from 2016-2019 until her health forced her retirement.

Her greatest accomplishment was being an incredible mother to her son Preston.

Amy is survived by her husband Michael Trefz, son, Preston Trefz, her father, Howard Zdroik, her brother, Eric Zdroik, Her aunt, Julie Zdroik, uncle, Rudy Zdroik, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Tonkom, uncle Tony and aunt Dee.

The visitation for Amy took place on Saturday, January 11th, 2025, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, located at 125 E. King Street, Rhinelander from 9:30am until the 11:30am Mass of Christian Burial. Fr. Chris Kemp will officiate. The luncheon was held in the Nativity of Our Lord Catholic School Gymnasium.

A private burial ceremony will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations to Variety Club of Wisconsin or the Autism Society of Central Wisconsin would be appreciated.
