Obituary: Alvin Johnson

Alvin James Johnson, age 92 of Rhinelander, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at Friendly Village.

He was born Feb. 11, 1927, in Rhinelander to Anton and Helga (Eide) Johnson. He enlisted in the Air Force following his high school graduation and served for four years. He is survived by his wife, Loretta; sons, James and Paul of Rhinelander; one grandson; daughter-in-law, Karen Johnson of Forest Lake, Minn.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his children, Jody, Tommy, Mary and David Johnson; one grandson, Josh Johnson; and by four brothers and two sisters.

The visitation for Alvin will take place Friday, Dec. 13, at the Hildebrand Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Memorial Service. Inurnment will take place in the spring at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Cemetery. (Hildebrand Funeral Home)
