Obituary: Alice Kniewel

Alice Kniewel, age 93 of West Allis, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019, surrounded by family. She was born Oct. 4, 1925, in Milwaukee to Matthew and Anna (Wisniewski) Pluta. Alice is survived by her children, Barbara Vitense of Nashotah, Janice (David) Stark of Janesville,  Ann (Stephen) Koch of Greenfield, and Thomas (Andrea) Kniewel of Rhinelander; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Kniewel; sisters, Sophie (Dr. Carl) Thom, Stella (Dr. Frank) Wisniewski; brother and sisters-in-law, Chester (Elaine) and (Carol) Pluta; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Alma) Kniewel, Lambert Kniewel; sisters-in-law, Emily (Milo) Smiley, Mildred (Mariano) Mancuso; and a great-niece, Carlie Beaudin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Oct. 5 at St. Mattias Catholic Church in Milwaukee. (Hildebrand Funeral Home)
