Obituary: Agnes Thompson

Agnes Thompson, 95, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013. She was born in Rhinelander June 10, 1918 to Frank and Mary Salin. She married John Thompson on April 25, 1942. She is survived by her son, Bob (Barb) Thompson; daughter, Sue (Jim) Fogerty; five grandchildren, Michael, Paul, David, Bradley and Amy; and eight great grandchildren Austin, Melinda, Kylie, Ian, Jorden, Branden, Traeton and Kailyn; and by her wonderful caregivers, Michelle and Mark. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, John; three sisters, Martha, Anne and Elizabeth; a brother, Ed; and a great granddaughter, Maya. Agnes was a lifelong member of Nativity of our Lord Catholic Church. A visitation for Aggie will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a memorial service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, all at the Carlson Funeral Home. Inurnment will immediately follow the service at the Forest Home Cemetery. A memorial is being established in Aggie's name and can be directed to her family.
