Marian Franck, 91, of Rhinelander, and formerly of Woodruff, died Jan. 23, 2012, at Friendly Village Nursing Home. She was born May 20, 1920, in Blue Island, Ill., to Bernard and Mary McCanna. She is survived by her daughters, Joan Plaza of Rhinelander and Deborah Williams of Kansas; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, Richard in 2007; her sisters, Florence Michie and Peggy Wojcik; and her brother, Bernard J. McCanna. Marian loved to volunteer and did so at Howard Young Medical Center. A funeral Mass was held Jan. 28 at Nativity of Our Lord Parish. Interment was in Union Grove Cemetery.

Gail G. Golomski, 52, of Rhinelander, died Jan. 18, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Merrill. She was born July 11, 1959, in Merrill, to Hubert and Edna Clocherez. She is survived by her husband, Mark; her sons, Scott (Brooke) of Hales Corners and David of LaCrosse; her father; and her brother, Neal Clocherez of Merrill. She was preceded by her mother. Gail served as the secretary for Nativity of Our Lord Church for many years. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Jan. 23 at Nativity of Our Lord Parish - St. Joseph's site.

Frank P. Pulec, 73, of Bundy, died Jan. 21, 2012, at his home. He was born Jan. 10, 1939, in Chicago Heights, Ill., to Frank and Anna Pulec. He is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Lynne (Gary) Schoone, Rick (Jan), Cathy (Tracy) Wagner, Joyce (Brian) Sinclair and Tom; 16 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and his sister, Marian DeLuca of Chicago Heights. He was preceded by a son, Frank Jr. Frank served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Tele-Tech TV and Appliance for 27 years. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Jan. 26 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Harrison. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Rhinelander.

Sandra M. Sandberg, 67, of Rhinelander, died Jan. 22, 2012, at Friendly Village Nursing Home. She was born May 8, 1944, in Rhinelander, to Ervin and Gertrude Fredrick. She is survived by her husband, Gary "Butch" Sandberg; her children, Theresa Kulis, Carrie Marvin and George Marvin, all of Green Bay, Tracy Marvin of Superior and Jeffrey Marvin of Duluth; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a step-daughter, Tricia; and her sister, Mona (Orville) Larson of Rosholt. She was preceded by her parents; her sister, Edna Mayron and her brother, Tim Fredrick. Sandy owned and operated the In Between Tavern for a number of years before her employment with the Trout Lake Golf Club, where she served as manager. Funeral services were held Jan. 26 at the Carlson Funeral Home. Interment was in Forest Home Cemetery.

Patricia Thostenson, 72, of Woodboro, died Jan. 20, 2012, at her home. She was born Sept. 29, 1939, in Beloit to Verble and Marie Reavis. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her son, Aaron (Misty) of Rhinelander; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her sisters, Madge Nelson of Janesville and Mary Balmes of Atlanta, Ga., and her sister-in-law, Beverly Reavis of Beloit. She was preceded by her sister, Jackie Wagner; two brothers, Claude and Duane Reavis; and her brother-in-laws, Francis Balmes and John Terpstra. Patricia, along with her husband, ran the River Street Tap until they retired in 2002. Patricia also worked at Trig's. A prayer service was held Jan. 25 at the Carlson Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Jan. 27 at Luther Valley Lutheran Church in Beloit. Interment was in the Luther Valley Church Cemetery.
