Richard A. Jewell, 72, of Rhinelander, died Oct. 19, 2011, at Ministry Saint Mary's Hospital. He was born Jan. 21, 1939, in Rhinelander, to Charles and Berneice Jewell. He is survived by his wife, Bobbi; his daughter, Beth (Kerry) Gowland of Atlanta, Ga., his son, John (Sandra) Jewell of Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Charles (Doris) and Clarence (Janice), both of Rhinelander; and three grandchildren. Rich was employed as a salesperson for a number of different business in Rhinelander throughout his working years. He loved his community, and devoted alot of his life to volunteer work in Rhinelander. A private family service has been held.

Howard S. Lovestead, 93, of Rhinelander, died Oct. 11, 2011, in Rhinelander. He was born May 6, 1918, in Silver Lake, to Andy and Elsie Lovestead. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Rhinelander; his sisters, Myrtle Skubal and Margaret (James) Andrus of Milwaukee; and his son, Scott (Beth), of Branford, Conn. From 1942 through 1946, Howard served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Force. He joined Consolidated Papers after completing his education, working in Rhinelander throughout his career, and retiring after serving as the manager of the Timberlands Division of the company. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m., at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Wilbur "Wib" J. Nimz, 83, of Minocqua, died Oct. 16, 2011, at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. He was born March 18, 1928, in Wausau, to Edward and Alma Nimz. He is survived by his children, Susan Goulet of Delray Beach, Fla., Sandy (Les) Rogers of Milton, Steve (Cindy) of Lake Tomahawk, David (Jer) Pewaukee, Deb (Dan) Schmitz of Appleton, and Bruce (Tina) of Green Bay; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and his sisters, Nancy Damrow and Ruth Draeger, both of Green Bay. He was preceded by his wife, Nancy; a son, Kevin; and four brothers; and four sisters. Wib spent the majority of his career working in sales for Del Monte Corporation, retiring after 35 years of service. A private family memorial service was held.
