Nice weather greets dog sled racers, spectators at Rhinelander event

RHINELANDER – The Heal Creek Dog Dash brought 70 racers to the first ever event Feb. 26-27.  It featured junior and adult races, including two, three, four, six and eight-10 dog events with several classes.  Spectators cheered the teams at the finish line near the top of the sledding hill at Northwood Golf Course. Some families also took advantage of the sunny day to take a few runs down the hill.

The race was organized by the Wisconsin Trailblazers Sled Dog Club. Results can be found here.
