The Friends of Town Line Lake Park will host a concert, Music in the Bowl, from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14 to benefit park projects.
The concert will take place at the park which is located 1/4 mile west of Hwy K & 47 in Rhinelander. David Walters and the Old Pine Road Band will be performing. Walters is also the president of the Friends of Town Line Lake Park. He explained why he loves playing this event, in particular.
“We play all over the Northwoods, and the sounds created in the Bowl [Town Line Lake Park’s natural amphitheater] are some of the best we’ve ever experienced,” he said. “Neighbors and people just driving by hear the music across the lake and showed up to see what was happening. People really need to come hear this for themselves! It’s a great event for a great cause.”
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Lunch is available for $6 and includes a hot dog or brat, chips, soda and a cookie. Organizers invite the public to come have lunch and enjoy an afternoon of music and community, tour the park, and donate to help offset the cost of basic park amenities.
