Free Cranberry Marsh Tours

Free Guided Nature Hike

North Lakeland Discovery Center

10-11:30 a.m.

Join a NLDC naturalist on the interpretive trail to discover the sights and sounds of the great outdoors. Registration required. Must wear face masks. Free to attend; donations appreciated. manitowishwaters.org

Dillinger Pontoon Tour (two)

Little Bohemia Restaurant

9:30 a.m.-noon or noon-3:45 p.m.

Travel by pontoon to historic Dillinger sites, have lunch at the famous Little Bohemia Lodge and tour the property that was featured in the movie, “Public Enemy.” Register early. $50/$45 members. discovercenter.net

Saturday, Sept. 5

Northwoods Bad Dash Mud Run

North Lakeland Discovery Center

9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Four-mile, 12-obstacle course includes a mud crawl, cargo net, fish crib climb and more, plus will be a fun un-timed event. Register online by Aug. 31. Spectators. Post-race party includes music, beer, food and raffles. discoverycenter.net
