TOMAHAWK – A man is in custody following a pair of threats called into a Tomahawk store.
According to a Monday, Nov. 24 post on Trig’s Facebook page, a threat was called into Trig’s Tomahawk, 662 N. 4th St., on Sunday, Nov. 23. A second threat was received on Monday, Nov. 24.
Trig’s said both calls were ultimately determined to be false alarms.
In a Tuesday, Nov. 25 release, the Tomahawk Police Department (TPD) announced that Nicholas P. Wolf had been identified as a suspect and was arrested by the Fond du Lac Police Department as part of a multi-jurisdictional investigation into the threats.
TPD said there was no continued danger to the community as of Tuesday, Nov. 25. The investigation was ongoing as of that date.
Tomahawk Police Chief Al Elvins said he is requesting that individuals with information regarding the threats contact Sergeant Matt Gorell or Detective John White at 715-453-2121.
“As always, Chief Elvins stated his primary goal is to protect the residents of Tomahawk and provide a safer community,” TPD said. “The Tomahawk Police Department would like to sincerely thank the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Fond Du Lac Police Department, Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, Rhinelander Police Department, Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation and all of the staff at Trig’s of Tomahawk.”
“As we reflect on these events, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone involved,” Trig’s stated. “To our incredible associates – thank you for acting quickly, calmly and exactly as trained to ensure everyone’s safety. To the Tomahawk Police Department, who arrived in under a minute, and all assisting agencies – your swift action, professionalism and dedication mean more to us than we can express. To our guests – the understanding and support you showed even while you were being inconvenienced during a holiday week speaks volumes of the wonderful community we live and work in.”
Trig’s said it is “especially grateful for the safety of our team, our guests and the remarkable first responders who work tirelessly to protect our community.”
“Thank you, Tomahawk, for your support,” Trig’s said.
In its press release announcing Wolf's arrest, the Fond du Lac Police Department noted threats were reported in Rhinelander as well as Tomahawk.
"Between November 21 and November 24, 2025, the Fond du Lac Police Department received multiple bomb threats directed at locations within the city (of Fond du Lac)," the release states. "FDLPD detectives immediately initiated an investigation, and through consistent follow-up and evidence analysis, identified a suspect believed to be responsible for the threats. The suspect was soon linked to a possible address in Tomahawk and detectives learned the individual was also connected to similar bomb threats reported in Rhinelander and Tomahawk."
According to online court records, as of 3 p.m., formal charges against Wolf have yet to be filed.
This story will be updated as additional information is released.
