Residents of Oneida County will have a chance to safely dispose of expired, unused, and unwanted medications on April 25 as part of National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The Rhinelander, Minocqua, and Three Lakes police departments, together with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Wisconsin Department of Justice to host collection sites throughout the county.
The goal of the annual event is to reduce prescription medication abuse and theft by giving the public a responsible, convenient means of disposal — and to keep potentially dangerous drugs out of medicine cabinets and away from those who might misuse them.
Collection sites — April 25, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
