Juliette D. Schoeneck

Juliette D. Schoeneck, 94, of the Town of Pine Lake, died Feb. 4, 2012, at her home in the company of her family. She was born on July 22, 1917, in Bay City, to Everett and Juliett Harding.

Juliette received her elementary and Jr. High education at Bay City and graduated from High School at Prescott in 1935. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the UW-River Falls in 1939. She also completed a three year course in Fine Arts and 10 years of continuing education classes in Rosemaling at Nicolet College. Juliette taught Elementary and Jr. High Art at Elcho, Three Lakes, and then Sugar Camp. She was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church where she designed bulletin covers and banners for many years. On June 18, 1944, she married Otto Schoeneck Jr. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Enterprise. They resided at the Red Dot - Frito Lay Farm Resort for 37 years where they also assisted in the management of the six housekeeping cottages in summer. Juliette's hobbies included raising both indoor and outdoor plants and flowers and writing family stories and poetry. She most enjoyed creating pictures in various media and was awarded several Art Show first place awards, including one Best of Show in colored pencil. She also enjoyed making individual needlepoint pictures for her grandchildren, Polish and Swiss cut-outs, and stained glass hangings. She will be fondly remembered for her creative talents and her devotion to her family.

Juliette is survived by two sons, Otto (Mary) Schoeneck III of Sugar Camp and Peter (Marilyn) Schoeneck of Rhinelander; a daughter, Bonita "Bonnie" (David) Dresen of Westfield; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Eric (Tricia), Drew (Katharine), and Sam Schoeneck, and Britni Dresen; five great grandchildren, Marlie and Jeffrey Lambert and Masen, Eli, and Jolie Schoeneck; one sister, Jane Funk of Esdaile; a sister-in-law, Ione Schoeneck of Rhinelander; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, her husband, Otto on March 1, 1993, a great granddaughter, Jadelynn Schoeneck, two brothers, and three sisters.

In accordance with Juliette's wishes, private funeral services will be held, with entombment in Northland Memorial Park Garden Mausoleum. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial will be in established in Juliette's name for the benefit of Ministry Hospice or the Music Ministry at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church.
