Although May is several months away, the Oneida County Land and Water Conservation Department is “eagerly anticipating” entries for the 2019 Northwoods’ Invasive Species Poster Contest.
Conservationist Michele Sadauskus suggested students may be interested in designing a poster about a new invasive, such as the Elongate Hemlock Scale, which was recently found on holiday evergreen boughs sold in Wisconsin chain stores; or the New Zealand mud snail, or the popular Spiny water flea.
