Human remains found in Northwoods

The Wisconsin Department of Justice is investigating human remains discovered in Florence County.

According to the DOJ, a hunter came across the remains in a rural wooded area Oct. 28.

Forensic experts responded to the scene and determined the unidentified remains belong to an unknown adult female. At this time there is no indication the remains match a known missing person from the great Florence County area.
