The Hodag Sports Club is continuing to evolve. In February 2026, the over 750 members of the 77-year-old club are planning to host the organization’s annual banquet in a new clubhouse and banquet facility, the group announced in a press release.
The new facility is to be built at the club’s shotgun range located at 4480 County Road C, Rhinelander. Construction is set to begin in the fall.
“This project is part of our long-range goals to improve the facilities and experience for our members and to become a positive draw to the Rhinelander community,” club leaders said in a press release. “The Club is midway through a multi-year plan to improve our facilities and offerings. The new clubhouse will allow for year-round usage, more space, an official Club office and many other features. The banquet facility will be able to accommodate meetings of up to 300 people. We hope that the community will choose to utilize the facilities for weddings, banquets, and other meetings.”
In addition to the clubhouse/banquet facility project, the HSC is also expanding its shotgun range.
“In 2026 we will be adding an additional sporting clays range,” the release states. “Later in the year we hope to remodel the existing trap, skeet, and 5-Stand ranges. This will allow us to better utilize the property, add reliability and offer shooting activities during the winter months.”
