MERRILL – Hodag Hockey traveled to Merrill to play a scrimmage against the Wausau East/Merrill Coop. The teams played two running-clock 20 minute periods, two 10 minute sessions with each team taking turns in the penalty kill and finished with a 15 minute five-on-five session .

The Hodags scored a lot of goals with no actual score or stats kept. Unofficially, the Hodags put up more than 90 shots on goal to Merrill's three.

The Hodags rotated lines and all four goalies played in the scrimmage. The team takes on Ashland Tuesday in a non-conference game at the RIA for their first real test.
