Hodag hockey hosted the Medford Raiders Thursday night trying to remain undefeated in conference. In the first period the Hodags were playing with a man advantage after a Medford penalty but the Raiders scored a shorthanded goal to take a 0-1 lead.
The Hodags’ Joey Belanger would then even the score in the power play just 31 seconds later. Belanger's goal would be the first of four for him on the night. The Hodags would score two more in the first to take a 3-1 lead going into the second period.
The Hodags had numerous chances to score in the second but could not put any of the 21 shots on goal into the net. Medford scored with just over four minutes left in the second to make the score 3-2 to begin the third period.
In the third the Hodags put 25 shots on goal and managed to score on 5 of them while Medford scored one in the last minute to make the final score 8-3 in favor of the Hodags.
