Hodag Highlights: The Hodag football team kicks off their season

The Hodag football team began their season in Ashland on Friday night. Both teams moved the ball up and down the field but could not score until Ashland threw for a touchdown with 8 seconds remaining in the half. The extra point attempt was good and the Oredockers went into the half with a 7-0 lead.  The Hodags took the second half kick off and marched down the field and scored on a pass from  Abe Gretzinger to Rowan Wiczek for the first of their 2 touchdown connections of the night. The third touchdown was a 17 yd.run from Chase Curby. The Hodag defense held in the second half and the Hodags won 20-7. The Hodags next game is Friday at home against Hayward.
