Hodag Highlights: Soccer goes 3-1

The Rhinelander High School girls soccer team posted a 3-1 record last week.
On Tuesday, April 8, the Hodags played their first home game of the season, taking on the Three Lakes Bluejays. The team had not scored a goal in the first two games of the season and came out with a vengeance as they scored 8 goals in the first 60 minutes to end the game via the mercy rule. Sophie Miljevich scored 4 goals, Vivian Lamers had 2 and Linsey Hoerchler added a goal and 3 assists.
On Thursday, April 10 the Hodags hosted Stevens Point. Rhinelander played a complete game against a Div. 1 opponent and came out on top 2-1.
Over the weekend the team traveled to Lake Mills where they defeated Jefferson 10-2 in a tournament. Lake Mills, the No. 2 ranked team in Div. 4, and the Hodags squared off in the championship game.
Lake Mills won, shutting out the Hodags 4-0.
