Hodag highlights: Soccer blanks Mosinee 7-0

The Rhinelander High School girls soccer team played their first conference game on Thursday, April 17 against Mosinee and won 7-0. The officials saw lightning in the 69th minute and the game was immediately suspended. After conferring with the coaches, the officials decided to end the game for safety reasons.
Vivian Lamers scored four goals in a row, three to end the first half and the first one in the second half. Also scoring for the Hodags were Lindsey Hoerchler, and sisters Sophie and Ella Miljevich.
The Hodags led 5-0 at the half. Rhinelander held Mosinee to zero shots on goal while taking 46 shots on goal. Rylee Mickevicius played the first half in goal and earned the win. Emalee Detienne took over in goal for the second half.
