The Lady Rebels (Rhinelander) American Legion softball team split a pair of games last week, falling at home to Medford before rallying for a road win at Tomahawk. The Lady Rebels hosted Medford on Tuesday, June 30 and were handed an 11-1 loss. Alijah Jordan started in the circle and took the loss, with Kendall Vanney working in relief. The Rebels regrouped Wednesday, traveling to Tomahawk and coming away with a 4-2 win. Vanney started and held Tomahawk to two runs through four innings, while Rhinelander built a 3-2 lead. Jordan came on in relief to begin the fifth and did not allow another run, and the Rebels tacked on an insurance run to seal the 4-2 victory.
