On Tuesday March 10 the Rhinelander High School boys and girls wrestling teams celebrated the 2026 season with a banquet at James Williams Middle School. Award winners for the boys were Ivan Loka (MVP and Most Dedicated), Michael Tredupp (Rookie of the Year), Noah Monk (Most Improved Underclassmen), Gage Anderson (Most Improved Upperclassmen) and Hoyt Dantoin (Hodag Award).
For the girls, Cassidy Lindner was the MVP and Most Dedicated, Skylar Leitl was named Rookie of the Year, Katie Hazelton was the Most Improved Underclassman, Nevaeh Anderson was the Most Improved Upperclassmen. Miranda Daab won the Hodag Award.
It was a historic season for Lindner who won the Great Northern Conference/Wisconsin Valley Conference title at 120 pounds. Lindner also won a regional title, finished second at sectionals and became only the second girl in Rhinelander High School history to compete at state.
