Brookfield's hockey co-op, the Stars, traveled to the Northwoods this weekend taking on Lakeland at the Hawks arena in Minocqua on Friday and then the Hodags on Saturday afternoon in Rhinelander.
Lakeland defeated the Stars Friday and the Hodags were hoping to do the same. The scoring started with the Hodags striking first on a Max Spaulding rebound shot. From there on it was all Brookfield as they scored 3 in the first period and 3 in the second taking a 6-1 lead into the final period. The Hodags would score 2 goals in the third with the Stars tacking on 2 more to make the final 8-3.
