The NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Northern Lakes is celebrating the opening of the Northern Lakes Drop-in Center Thursday, March 22 , from 5 to 7 p.m.

The center is located in the lower level of Trinity Lutheran Church at Stevens and Phillips Streets in Rhinelander.

Keynote speakers, Robyn Dunahee of Midstate Independent Living and Deborah Jackson, Licensed Social Worker, will discuss the value of drop-in centers for people dealing with mental illnesses. Center members will speak as well.

There will be treats and music and tours of the facility. Rhinelander Mayor Dick Johns, Pastor Tim Vadis and Rhinelander Ambassadors will officiate a ribbon cutting at 5 p.m.
