Full week of games begins with losses

Hodag baseball has five games on the schedule this week. Two of the five were at home, Monday against Medford and Tuesday against Wausau East.

Rhinelander lost both, 3-1 against Medford in a pitchers’ duel and 6-5 to Wausau East. In the East game the Hodags had the tying run at second with one out in the bottom of the 7th but a pop fly and base running error led to a double play and the end of the game.

The Hodags travel to Medford on Thursday and then to Rice Lake Saturday for a double header.
