The Forest County Drug Task Force was tipped off to drug activity taking place at a residence which led to the arrest of two individuals earlier this week. Akil J. Johnson, 27, of Milwaukee is being held on a $10,000 cash bond. He is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of prescription pills without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping. Amanda L. Daniels, 31, of Crandon is being held on a $2,000 cash bond, charged with possession of cocaine, possession of prescription pills without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor bail jumping.
Authorities received information Feb. 2 indicating crack cocaine and prescription narcotics were being sold at the Anndrea McGeshick residence at 3552 Hwy 55 in Crandon. A search warrant was executed at the residence; seized items include crack cocaine, prescription narcotics, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and firearms.
The investigation continues and more arrests are expected.
On Jan. 28 the Forest County Drug Task Force in conjunction with the Laona Police Department performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the town of Laona. Forest Co. K9 gave a positive indication on the vehicle that illegal drugs were or had been present in the vehicle. The passenger of the
vehicle became disorderly with officers and refused to be properly patted down. The passenger, Trymane L. Fraley, 32, of Milwaukee was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and resisting/obstructing an officer. During the booking process at the Forest County Jail, deputies discovered a clear plastic bag on Fraley’s body that contained seven individually packaged bags of crack cocaine and one bag of marijuana.
During a search on the driver of the vehicle, Thomas A. Kabke, 26, of Menasha, a clear plastic bag fell out of his pants leg. The bag contained 15 individually packaged bags of crack cocaine.
Kabke is being held on a $10,000 cash bond, charged with felony possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, felony possession of narcotics in or near certain places and felony bringing contraband into jail.
Fraley is being held on a $10,000 cash bond, charged with felony possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, felony possession of THC, felony possession of narcotics in or near certain places, bringing contraband into jail, disorderly conduct and resisting/obstructing an officer.
