Family Night moved to RHS gym

Posted

Families are invited to a fun-filled evening at the Rhinelander High School Gymnasium from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 2. This free community event, hosted by UW-Stevens Point, Nicolet College, Oneida County Human Services, and Rhinelander High School’s FCCLA and Educators Rising Clubs, is designed to support and celebrate the Week of the Young Child, according to a School District of Rhinelander press release.

Children and families can enjoy a variety of engaging crafts, activities, and hands-on experiences, all aimed at fostering creativity, learning, and family connections. As an added bonus, the first 300 families to attend will receive goodie bags filled with fun surprises!

“We are excited to bring families together for an evening of fun, learning, and community,” said Melissa Hasselberger (RHS Family & Consumer Science Educator). “This collaborative event is a great opportunity to celebrate young children and the important role families play in their growth and development.”

The Week of the Young Child, recognized nationwide, highlights the importance of early childhood education and family engagement in a child’s development. Events like Family Night help bring awareness to the needs of young learners while providing families with resources and meaningful experiences.

All community members are welcome to attend. For more information, please contact Melissa at 715-365-9500 for more information.
