Duck Dash returns Aug. 22

Posted

Are you ready for one of Rhinelander’s quackiest events? The annual Downtown Duck Dash returns Saturday, August 22, bringing one of downtown’s most unique and entertaining events back to Brown Street.
Community members can get in on the fun by “adopting” a duck for the race by purchasing a ticket. Hundreds of rubber ducks will make their way down Brown Street, with prizes waiting for the lucky ducks that cross the finish line first, organizers said in a press release. Duck Dash tickets are $10 for one duck, $40 for a flock of five or $100 for a flock of 15.Tickets are available at the Rhinelander Chamber, YMCA of the Northwoods, Northland Music, Plane Parts Inc., Dementi Arts, Crate Diggers and Lotus Salon. This year’s top prizes include a household YMCA membership for first place, a fishing kayak for second place and a gift basket for third place. The Duck Dash is hosted by Downtown Rhinelander Inc. (DRI) and is a fun way to support the organization and its work to keep Downtown Rhinelander a vibrant place for businesses, residents and visitors. There will be even more happening downtown on Aug. 22, as the Duck Dash takes place
alongside Downtown Rhinelander Chalkfest. Chalk artists will transform downtown pavement into colorful works of art throughout the day, giving families another reason to spend the day exploring Downtown Rhinelander.
