Community invited to celebrate completion of James Williams Middle School expansion

Posted

The School District of Rhinelander is inviting community members to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of a major construction project at James Williams Middle School on Monday, April 20, at 4:30 p.m.
The project, approved by district voters in the April 2024 Capital Project Referendum, focused on expanding and modernizing key learning spaces throughout the building to better serve students and staff.
Completed improvements include new technical education facilities and equipment, remodeled spaces for art, choir, band, and family and consumer education classes, an updated special education life skills lab, and improved office areas.
Representatives from the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce will participate in the ceremony alongside project partners Bray Architects and C.D. Smith, as well as members of the School District of Rhinelander Board of Education, district administration, and school staff.
The event marks a significant milestone in the district’s ongoing facilities improvements, district officials said in a press release. A second ribbon cutting ceremony for the high school construction project is scheduled for September 2026.
“We look forward to celebrating with our community and thanking voters for their support of this important investment in our students’ future,” district officials said in the announcement.
