Arrests made in tavern burglaries

Two men are in Oneida County custody in connection with recent tavern burglaries in the county, including two on Hwy 47 Aug. 15. According to Capt. Tyler Young, James Carl MacDonald, 30, of Wausau, and Anthony Lamont Brown, 40, of Schofield, were arrested following a traffic stop by Minocqua Police.

Young said the arrests were made as a result of  “good cop work” by members of several area jurisdictions, Oneida County was assisted by Minocqua, Three Lakes and Woodruff Police Departments, Vilas County, Langlade County, Wausau Police, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and others.
