An annual Not So Scary Halloween event a success

The “Not So Scary” Halloween Trail was held Friday, Oct. 21 at the YMCA of the Northwoods. There were over 1,800 participants trick-or-treating along the Kiwanis Stoney Pines Trail at the Y.

Participants voted on their favorite trail site. The first place winner was the YMCA Wellness and Youth and Family with their site, Star Wars. The pool party winner was Fantastic Sam’s with their site, Super Hero Medley.

Participants donated 683 pounds of non-perishable food items, which the Y donated to the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry.  Organizers said the event was a success, thanks to the volunteers, donors and everyone who attended.
