Alvin B. Keso, age 91, of Antigo, died on April 15, 2026 at Care Partners Assisted Living under the care of family and LeRoyer Hospice. He was born on March 22, 1935 in Rhinelander, a son of Samuel and Helen (Van Norman) Keso. He married Margaret Buck on June 6, 1964 in Antigo.
Alvin worked in Illinois for 10 years at Hy-Dynamic Corp building diesel tractors. He moved to Rhinelander in 1973 where he worked for Wilbert Vault Company for 16 years. Alvin also worked for Wick Pole Builders, Echardt Wrecking, and part-time for Sowinski Potato Farms. Alvin was a hobby farmer and had a wild bird game farm.
He enjoyed hunting and will be remembered for his sense of humor, always joking and flirting.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Margaret; a daughter, JoAnn (Rick) Engels of Minoqua, four grandchildren, Amanda (Gary) Lade, Adam (Rhiannon) Cira, Gary (Nikki) Engels and Samantha (Neil) Pluister; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nancy Keso of Rhinelander; and the Buck family, Elaine Kuhlmann of Woodruff, Charlene (Fred) Van Dorf of Antigo, Jerold (Sharon) Buck of Pickerel, Leon (Linda) Buck of Antigo, Roger (Kathy) Buck of Pearson, Daniel Buck of Antigo, Randy (Gina) Buck of Bryant and Doris Buck of Texas; a nephew, Lloyd B. "Junior" Eternicka and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Keso; a great-grandson, baby James; sisters, Sylvia Boyd; Margaret Arrowood, Shirley Wright, and Ramona Hitz; brothers, Everett, Norman, and James; and a brother-in-law Roland Buck.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, at 12 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Wes Jedras officiating.
Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
