Adult Education Class in 4-H

Ever wanted to know what 4-H stands for? Ever wanted to be in 4-H as a child but couldn't? Are you a 4-H alumnus who feels the urge to connect with the program once again? Do you have a skill or hobby that you know would be of benefit for youth to develop?

This next year marks the 100th anniversary of 4-H. Something that started out as a skill builder for rural youth, 4-H has become a hallmark for positive youth development programming.

Offered through the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension, 4-H membership is free of charge and due to adult volunteers accessible to all youth in the county.

Being an adult volunteer with 4-H is a privilege that enables an individual to receive professional education about youth development, peer support, and access to research-based curricula.

The first education/volunteer training session for 2013-14 will take place Sept. 16 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the basement of the Oneida County airport.
