The Rhinelander High School softball team was scheduled to host Tomahawk in a doubleheader on Thursday, May 1. However, after the Hatchets arrived the officials deemed the Rhinelander fields unplayable due to the wet conditions and everyone packed up and made the trip to Tomahawk where only one of the games was played. The Hodags scored in the top of the first and were tied midway through the game with each team scoring 4 times. Then walks, errors and timely hits by Tomahawk allowed the Hatchets to build a lead.
