Sex offender released to community

RHINELANDER – Rhinelander Police Department has released information on a convicted sex offender that has been released from prison and is living in the community.
Skyler Sann, 27, was released May 28 and will be living at 17 W. Prospect in Rhinelander.
Sann is not wanted by the police, but the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry and Community Notification Law allows law enforcement to share the information.
Sann has been convicted of possession of child pornography. His victims have included both male and female minors, age 6-17. He was released in May 2022 but was arrested in May 2023 for multiple parole violations, including grooming behaviors of underaged children (under 12), which resulted in his revocation back to prison.
Sann is 5-foot-9 inches tall, weighs approximately 175 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Sann will be monitored by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Division and local law enforcement. He will be on the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry as a lifetime registrant.
