Spring clean up at Holmboe Conifer Forest

Northwoods Land Trust is seeking volunteer stewards for Friday, May 31 at Holmboe Conifer Forest State Natural Area in Rhinelander. Work, including hand-pulling evasive plants (pictured here in 2023), installing new signage and cleaning up the trails will take place 11 a.m.-2 p.m. It is recommended volunteers bring work gloves, bug spray, water and food.
The Spring Volunteer Day will take place rain or shine. Register in advance on the events page at northwoodslandtrust.org or by emailing [email protected] by Wednesday, May 29.
Holmboe Forest is at 903 Boyce Drive and parking is behind the Riverview Hall facility. NWLT permanently conserves natural shorelands, woodlands and other natural resources to benefit present and future generations in seven area counties. Visit northwoodslandtrust.org for more information.
