Max Ratty was the starting pitcher for the Hodags and had two hits in the game.

Hodag baseball made the short trip to Tomahawk to take on the Hatchets who have yet to win a game in 14 tries this season.

Rhinelander scored at least one run in five of the seven innings with the fourth inning being the big inning putting up seven runs. The first eight batters in the inning reached safely.

The game led off with AJ Turek being hit by the first pitch of the game. Turek would later come around to score the first run of the game. Max Ratty started on the mound and gave up three runs.

Ratty was relieved by Dylan Vanderbunt in the sixth and would not give up a run in the Hodags’ 11-3 win. James Heck had three hits in the game and drove in five runs. The rematch will be at home Thursday at Stafford field.
