Otto Kenneth Tulowitzky, age 78 of Rhinelander, passed away April 24, 2023.

He was born in Elwood Indiana, Aug. 29, 1944, to Otto W. Tulowitzky and Wanda (Brown) Tulowitzky.

At a young age, Otto’s family moved to Campbellsport, Wisconsin.

Survivors include his loving and always attending to his needs wife, Mary (Meyer) Tulowitzky; sons, Travis (Laura) Tulowitzky and their children, Izaak, and Nola; Shane (Melanie) Tulowitzky and their children, Jacques, Finn, Van, Mia, Noella, and Belief;  his sister, Kathleen (Tulowitzky) Wilke and half-sister, Violet (Kibble) Russell; sisters-in-law, Brenda Kibble, Lucille (David) Majerus; brother-in-law, John (Betty) Meyer; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Bailey; and many nieces and nephews.

Otto was preceded in death by his father, Otto Tulowitzky; his first wife, Linda Tulowitzky (Bailey); his mother, Wanda Brown-Tulowitzky (Kibble); father-in-law, Neil Bailey; brothers-in-law, Charlie Wilke, David Bailey; his half-brother, Norman Kibble; and best friend Bill Whittaker.

Otto served in the United States Air Force from 1963 until 1967, stationed at the KI Sawyer Air Force Base. Upon returning from serving in the Air Force, he attended Moraine Park Technical College studying and becoming a Journeyman Millwright.

Otto served as a volunteer Fire Fighter for 14 years with the Eden, Wisc. Fire Department.  He was a Maintenance Mechanic at Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, Wisc. for 40 years. Otto volunteered at the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry for several years.

Otto loved his family very much.

He enjoyed attending Brewer games with his friends and family. He also enjoyed gardening, especially growing tomato plants and was a farmer at heart.

The family will be having a private gathering. In lieu of flowers, or gifts, donations may be directed to the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry, to be used for the Weekend Food for Kids program, in his honor.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hildebrand Funeral Home & Cremation Specialists, 24 E. Davenport Street, Rhinelander, Wisconsin 54501, 715-365-4343. Everyone is invited to sign the guestbook or leave an online condolence at www.hildebrandrussfh.com
