Anthony “Tony” Grabowski came into the world February 4, 1950, in Gilman, Wisc., the youngest son of Maria “Mary” Agnes (Lato) and John Valentine Grabowski. Tony joined his parents, along with his sisters Frances Kopacz and Marie Webster in heaven April 23, 2023. He passed away peacefully in his sleep alongside his wife and children.

Tony is survived by his wife, Janice; his daughter, Gina Grabowski; son, Anthony Brylow; grandsons, Kody (Amber) and Drew; granddaughter, Skylar; sisters, Theresa Rita, Josephine Rogalski, Agnes Langberg and Victoria Gray; brother, John (Laurette) Grabowski; and many nieces, and nephews and many others who knew him as Grandpa or Uncle Tony.

Tony was employed for 28 years with Milwaukee County as their Facilities Manager at the Milwaukee County House of Correction. It was during this time that Tony met his wife and made countless friends throughout his career.

He was a genuine “Mr. Fix-It.” He also enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, and racing cars. His favorite cartoon character was Goofy, and he was a lifelong Brewers and Packers fan.

The family would like to thank the Aspirus Hospice Team for their care and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you would make a donation to the ALS Association in Tony’s name. ALS Association Wisconsin, 3333 N. Mayfair Road, Suite #104, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin 53222; 1-414-763-2220.

The service for Tony will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Hildebrand Funeral Home with Fr. Chris Kemp officiating, followed by the celebration of Tony’s life from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hildebrand Funeral Home & Cremation Specialists, 24 E. Davenport Street, Rhinelander, Wisconsin, 54501, 715-365-4343. Everyone is invited to sign the guestbook or leave an online condolence at www.hildebrandrussfh.com
