A $25,000 cash bond has been set for a 34-year old Oneida County man charged in connection with a structure fire in the town of Crescent Thursday.
Chad J. Bambrough was charged with arson of a building without the owner’s consent and unsafe burning of own building, both felonies.
The Oneida County telecommunications center received a call at 3:37 p.m. March 2 with the caller indicating there were flames 10 feet into the air at 5889 U.S. Highway 8. By the time first responders arrived the structure was fully engulfed, according to a Sheriff’s Office release.
Oneida County Sheriff’s deputies reportedly determined the fire was intentionally set and arrested Chad J. Bambrough. Deputies also stated they believe Bambrough took illegal drugs which was a factor in the incident.
Bambrough is scheduled for an adjourned initial appearance March 9.
