A report of a man and woman fighting at a Crandon hotel landed the pair in Forest County Jail facing drug-related charges.
Arrested were Thomas Owens, 29 of Fond du Lac and Amanda West, 21 of Oshkosh.
The Forest County Sheriff’s Office responded to the hotel Jan. 2 where they reportedly saw drugs in the room. According to a press release, fentanyl, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was found during a search of the room.
A vehicle was impounded and searched and deputies allegedly found fentanyl, methamphetamine, ketamine, MDMA/ecstasy, psilocybin, marijuana, THC wax, digital scales, packaging materials, a large amount of drug paraphernalia and a firearm with the serial number removed.
More fentanyl, methamphetamine and a “large amount” of ammunition were reportedly recovered at West and Owens’ home following a search by Oshkosh Police Department.
Owens and West have not appeared in circuit court, and no charges have been officially brought; Owens is being held in the Forest County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond and a probation hold. West remains in jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
