A rescheduled regional game in Merrill had an early start May 27, beginning at 11 a.m. to accommodate graduation ceremonies at both schools.
The Hodags wasted no time getting on the board as Joe Schneider in only his second full game back from knee surgery but the Hodags on top in the first inning with a two-run homerun. Turned out to be all the visiting team would need. Sam Schneider would add another run with a sacrifice fly in the third inning to give the Hodags the 3-0 win.
Ryan Jamison pitched 6 1/3 innings of no-hit baseball until he hit the 100-pitch limit. Jacksen Smith came in with only two outs needed to secure a no-hitter. The first batter Smith faced grounded out and the second went down swining for the combined no-hitter, the first since May 2012 when Kyle Comer allowed no hits.
Offensively the Hodags had nine hits, two each by Joe Scheider, Jacksen Smith and AJ Turek.

Max Ratty beats the throw to first place but was called out completing a double play by Merrill.
A Merrill runner beats the throw to Logan Schmoeger for a stolen base.
Sam Schneider catches the pitch from Jacksen on a swinging third strike for the last Merrill out, preserving the Hodag no-hitter.
