The Rhinelander Area Chamber Ambassadors visited Mike Osterdal and Conrad Deskus, the new owners of the McNaughton Pub. Osterdal said he spent a lot of time in the area and has fond memories at the Pub.

Both men took interest in the Pub for the local area friendliness, the rich history and memories that reside in the business dating back to the 1930s. Deskus is a former commercial fisherman and brought his seafood passion to the menu, where it can be found on the menu full time.
The Pub, located at 5340 Bridge Road, is open Thursday through Monday, noon to 9 p.m. Reach them by phone at 715-277-5100. The building includes a full bar, small stage for live music, a wooden dance floor, seating to accommodate up to 65 people and a general store that provides convenience products as well as in-house liquor sales.

UP NORTH OUTFITTERS

The Ambassadors welcomed Up North Adventures and owners Jordan and Emily Baumann to the area. Primarily an online order company, Up North Outfitters sells sporting goods, firearms and ammunition, fishing equipment, hunting and water sport equipment.

Also offered is safe storage of guns and ammunition in a crisis; the items will be stored at no charge as long as needed. The Baumanns moved from Milwaukee back to the Rhinelander area and opened the store last summer. It’s located at 2887 Co. N and can be reached at 715-227-9881, or visit the website, UpNorthOutfittersWi.com.
