RHINELANDER – The Oneida County Health Department is hosting another second booster clinic Thursday, April 21 from noon- 7 p.m. No appointments are required. Those getting the booster should bring their vaccination card and a face mask.

Eligible individuals for second boosters must have gotten their first booster dose at leas four months ago and:

• Be over 50 years old

• Be 12 years old or older with certain immunocompromised conditions. Examples are those who have undergone transplants, receiving treatment for cancer, or are taking medications that may suppress the immune system.
• Be between ages 18-49 years and have received the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as their primary series dose and booster dose.

Booster appointments after the pop up clinic should be scheduled online. If you do not have access to the internet, call 715-401-4150.

OCHD stated in a press release that “a COVID-19 vaccine is very safe. The vaccine can protect you from getting sick and potentially prevent you from spreading the virus to those around you. Getting vaccinated is one of the best ways to protect yourself, your community, and bring this pandemic to an end.”
