RHINELANDER – The YMCA of the Northwoods announced a $20,000 Building for the Future Capital Campaign donation.

“Associated Bank is committed to investing in the communities where we live and work,” said Brad Kowieski, Vice President Commercial Lending at Associated Bank. “We are pleased to partner with the YMCA of the Northwoods in their efforts to enhance programming that benefits community members of all ages.”

The Building for the Future Capital Campaign will strengthen resources for all in the community. These include doubling capacity for early learning and out of school enrichment time for youth, expanding opportunity for teens to have a safe, secure and affordable place to go, grow impactful and meaningful programming for all ages, strengthen summer day camp to include more environmental and outdoor education, and allow 24/7 access to the YMCA wellness center and main gymnasium.”

YMCA of the Northwoods CEO Ryan Zietlow said the donation moves the Y closer to revitalizing a portion of the project – the YMCA Generations Center.

“Picture our seniors gathering for lunch and learns on topics such as fall prevention to financial planning,” Zietlow said. “Our youth and teens spending time at the teen center, surrounded by our professional role models; everyone will have an affordable place to belong.”

The YMCA of the Northwoods has raised nearly $1.9 million toward its campaign goal. For more information, visit ymcaofthenorthwoods.org.
