Clayton J. Young, age 79 of Rhinelander, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2021. He was born Nov. 17, 1941, in Rhinelander to Roland and Ruth (Shattuck) Young.

He is survived by his wife, Judy (Dumpprope) Young; daughter, Linda (Mark) Bennett of Oregon, Ill.; sons, Brian (Diane) Young of Rhinelander and Kevin Young of Wausau; sister, Vivian Colvin of Ooltewah, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Don Short; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn (Len) Squire; brother, Alan (Carolyn) Young; and sister; Cleo (Don) Short.

Visitation will be held 9:30-11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 19, followed by a memorial service, all at the Carlson Funeral Home, and interment in the Forest Home Cemetery. (Carlson Funeral Home)
