Obituary: Charles T. Olson
Charles T. Olson, age 83 of Panama City Beach, Fla., passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at a local hospital.
Charles was born Jan. 31, 1938, in Rhinelander to Norman and Delta Olson. He was an over-the-road truck driver for almost 30 years and always enjoyed being out on the road. Charles loved RVing between his home on Faust Lake and his home in Panama City Beach by the Gulf. He was a jack-of-all-trades who enjoyed doing carpentry, electrical and plumbing projects. He designed and had two homes built, making sure they fit his lifestyle and needs perfectly. He dearly loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them, whether it was playing in the lake, repairing bicycles and fishing poles, or cooking large family meals.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Mark Olson; sister, Norma Molander; and mother-in-law, Catherine Hoha.
Left to treasure his memory is his wife of 61 years, Frances Olson; daughter, Dawn Jones; son, Robert Olson (Pamela); grandchildren, Dru Olson (Kelsey); Kayla Pinto (Brian), Kelly Ness (Justin) and Corinne Jones; great-grandchildren, Timothy, Jett, Corbin, Raelynn, Eliot and Ruby; brothers, John Olson (Cindy) and Jim Olson; and many nieces and nephews.
Charles will be laid to rest at Forest Home Cemetery in Rhinelander with other members of his family.
