The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to locate a man suspected of  shooting and killing a woman today in Oneida County.

According to Communications Lt. Jacob Simkins, Oneida County dispatch received a call reporting a female lying on the side of River Bend Road, near US 8 east. Simkins stated the woman was deceased, due to a gunshot.

An incident report from WisDOT states both lanes of US 8 at River Bend Road are closed due to an incident that occurred shortly before noon June 30.

A preliminary investigation revealed a suspect and vehicle. The suspect is identified as Christopher Terrell Anderson, age 30, driving a 2005 white Chrysler PT Cruiser with Minnesota license plate 187 NXC.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone who sees Anderson or the vehicle is asked to call 911 or the Oneida County dispatch center, 715-361-5201 with additional information.
