Hodag gymnast Lilli Bishop heads to state meet

The Hodag Dome was one of the four Division 2 gymnastics meet sites held in the state. Those who do well qualify for the state meet next weekend.

The top team from each sectional moves on to the state meet and then qualifiers in each event plus the top all-around scorers.

Medford was the sectional winner at the Dome with a score of 132.85. Rhinelander placed fourth with a score of 119.35.

Lilli Bishop, a Hodag senior, is headed to state next weekend as she placed fourth on the beam with a score of 8.00. Bishop finished the meet in tenth place with an all-around score of 31.550.

The next  Hodag finish on beam was Payton Rudawski scoring a 7.100, good for sixteenth place.

Top performers for the Hodags on vault were Alexa Lukes tied for tenth with a score of 8.3 and in nineteenth place with an 8.1 was Bishop.

On the bars, Bishop was the top Hodag in fourteenth place with a 7.15, followed by Lukes in fifteenth with a 7.10 and Bridget Koser eighteenth with a score of 6.975.

The floor exercise had Lilli Bishop in twelfth place, scoring an 8.3; Alexa Lukes, fourteenth with an 8.150, Payton Rudawski scored a 7.9 good for seventeenth , Bridget Koser scored 7.8 for twentieth and Emma Chiamulera placed twenty-fifth with a 7.6. PHOTOS BY BOB MAINHARDT
