The Rhinelander Area Food Pantry (RAFP) will have another food giveaway this week, Thursday, Feb. 18. Distribution will begin about 9 a.m., or earlier if the truck arrives early.

This is the third distribution in February hosted by Feeding America. There is a one box limit unless picking up on behalf of a homebound individual.

The distribution is open to the public, but is intended for households in need. Those accepting a box are certifying they are food insecure, lack money or other resources and are in need of the food for household use.

Enter behind the pantry from Carr Street, exiting onto Coon Street. The line will start at the RAFP driveway on Carr, to Coon, then right on  Newell Street. Line up on the side of the cemetery, but do not block driveways, entrances or exits.

Participants should have their vehicle’s trunk open or be prepared to load the box into the vehicle themselves if the trunk is not available. This is a no-contact pickup so everyone going through the line will be required to wear a face covering.
